In the early 1960s, when World Wide Missions of Liberia was established, there was no separate Education Department. The four mission pillars, the Church, Education, Agriculture, and Medical, were all under direct church supervision.
During that period, Rev. Dr. Abba G. Karnga coordinated those departments and provided broad mission leadership.
In the late 1970s, after returning from studies, Mr. Roujee Morris helped formalize the Education Department and became its first Education Director.

When Mr. Roujee Morris became Director of World Wide Missions of Liberia, the civil war disrupted systems and operations, and he carried multiple responsibilities during a difficult season.
After Mr. Morris left mission leadership, the Elders established a seven-man council headed by Daniel Paygar, and Elder Garmondeh Karnga was appointed as Education Director.
When Mr. Reuben Tedoe Faimahn took over as Director of Missions, he recommended Evangelist Constant C. Pee to serve as Education Director.
When Elder Garmondeh Karnga became Director of Missions, he continued coordinating Education and at Sinjay Conference recommended Ben Karnga to serve as Education Director.
When Madam Mary Karnga Dahn took over as Director of Missions, she recommended Mr. G. Alphonso Menyon to serve as Education Director.
